Taking pride of place at Nvoga’s new Marbella offices is the Academy Room that is at the heart of the company’s bold and innovative initiative – the Nvoga Academy. The first of its kind on the Costa del Sol, the academy enables José Carlos and his team of property professionals to share their expertise and experience with clients, peers and the public in general. It’s a new way to interact, share information and promote excellence in the real estate sector in this region, but there are already successful examples of similar initiatives in North America and different parts of Northern Europe, where companies, professional service providers and clients interact in an increasingly open and transparent way.
The new Nvoga Academy forms part of this, and though its opening is so far limited to social media presentations, remote consultations, webinars and tutoring, this can be seen as merely the introduction and dry run for what will become a meeting point for the industry once the social distancing regulations are well and truly behind us. The project has a special meaning for Nvoga founder and CEO, José Carlos Leon, for whom it represents the realisation of a long-held ambition. Not only does he encourage professionals in the property sector to participate in the new Nvoga Academy in the centre of Marbella, as well as those keen to buy and know more about the Costa del Sol property market, but he is also reaching out to people who have lost their jobs during the Covid-19 crisis and are interested in learning new skills.
New skills and expertise
The focus of the Nvoga Academy will be to exchange ideas and information, but above all also provide professional training in all aspects of real estate, and in particular to instil the highest technical, ethical and operational standards. Real estate is one of the leading economic sectors in the Marbella region, and it involves not just marketing and selling, but also property valuations, architectural, landscaping and interior design, engineering, lighting and many other disciplines.
Just before confinement started, we had the pleasure of welcoming the promoter and architect of Marein 73 to inaugurate our Academy Room, where the fabulous new exclusive Marein Banus in Cortijo Blanco, an exclusive project of three luxury villas 50m from the sea and next to Puerto Banús, was presented to the entire NVOGA team.
