The Scandinavian market for modern properties in Marbella has been steadily growing over the past few years. Indeed, you could say that the contemporary architecture that dominates the newest properties is perfect for buyers from Sweden, Norway, Demark and Finland, because it owes so much to Scandinavian design with its bright, clean lines, open-plan interiors and light filled rooms.
Some 5,500 people attended the event and the numbers who showed great interest in our Spanish products was very heartening. We knew that there was enormous interest in Spain, the Costa del Sol and Marbella in particular amongst Nordic buyers, and this has grown even stronger in the past year.
Nvoga’s director, José Carlos Leon, Thomas Graham and Maya Boskovic from sales manned our exhibition stand, where we showed top quality property developments that are either already under construction or still in the planning stages. Although the off-plan market dipped in the years of the recession, they have made a solid comeback and prove very popular with Scandinavian property buyers.
Nvoga is proud to represent some of the top developers who are bringing this modern style to residential properties on the Costa del Sol, and we were delighted with the reception they received at the prestigious Buying Properties Abroad exhibition in Stockholm Sweden on the 23rd and 24th September. One of the developments we exhibited was The Residences from Icon. This exclusive complex with 24 signature villas in fashionable Marbella East is a truly special project and offers a lifestyle of great luxury. Similarly, the contemporary villas in Casares by Quercus attracted interest. These eco-friendly homes employ cutting-edge technology and eye-catching architecture, and are quite unique on the Costa del Sol.
The Belfry Nordic Collection on the New Golden Mile Estepona, also impressed visitors with its stylish open-plan layout and modern architecture. Its proximity to some of Estepona’s top golf courses was another much appreciated feature.
We also showcased Vanian Green Village, a truly special development of apartments and penthouses in the Estepona area close to La Resina golf. This complex has a social club, gym and swimming pools as well as being close to the zone’s best golf courses, such as El Paraiso and Los Flamingos.
And, South Bay, a complex of modern apartments and penthouses sitting above the centre of Estepona town also attracted a great deal of interest from buyers who wanted a more urban location with easy access to the shops and amenities of Estepona. Its elevated position provides residents with superb views of the Mediterranean as well as avant-garde design.
