III Solidarity Paddle Tournament of the Costa del Sol property sector raises over €80.000
Objective accomplished! The third edition of the charity tournament that brings together professionals from the Costa del Sol’s property sector in support of local and international charitable causes enjoys its greatest success yet.
Not only did the III Solidarity Paddle Tournament of the Costa del Sol property sector raise over €80.000 for the causes highlighted below, but it was made possible by the collaboration of over 140 companies and sponsors from the region’s real estate and related sectors. Counting from the outset on the generous support and collaboration of the Estepona Townhall, José Carlos León and all the team involved in the organisation of this fantastic initiative can look back at what has become one of the most outstanding charity and real estate events the Costa del Sol has ever hosted.
The Event – Sport
The programme of activities kicked off on 1 June with a triangular football tournament between Spanish members of the property sector and their counterparts from ‘the rest of the world’ together with the veteran team of Estepona CF. The matches held between these three teams and the veterans of the hosts at the stadium of Estepona CD ended in a closely fought overall win for the international team in what was the opening act of a long weekend of events.
The weekend was dedicated to the paddle tennis tournament at the heart of the programme. Hosted at the atmospheric Racquet Club Villa Padierna, this year’s competition was once again intense and fun, featuring a total of 160 excellent players from the ranks of the region’s real estate companies. A highlight was the fashion show on Saturday evening courtesy of Deborah Charles with live music and entertainment by Yanela Brooks.
The exciting final of each category was held on Sunday 5 June and the winners were:
Mixed B: Javier Ruiz and Carlota Ruiz who received a dinner for two at La View Los Arqueros and Magnum Vino, courtesy of Casa Santi.

Real Estate Conferences
Yanela Brooks also provided the closing act of one of the most engaging and successful property sector conferences held for years on the Costa del Sol, where over 400 industry professionals came together at the Teatro Auditorio Principe Felipe VI in Estepona on Thursday 2 June.
The conference began with members of the LPA Real Estate Association, who after analysing the situation of the real estate market both in figures, origin of clients and other details of interest, commented on the need to professionalise the role of the real estate agent, and for this, the LPA is promoting the approval of a new law that regulates it.
This technical table was formed by Sergey Sinichikin from Drumelia; Pía Arrieta from DM Properties; Angela Schouten, from FM Consulting; Setareh Mohregi from Gilmar and Jesús García from Banús Rentals.
In the second part of the conference, relevant issues such as the effects of price increases in construction were discussed, where the participants agreed that the price increase in new-build homes will continue over the coming months, so that as an asset real estate remains a safe form of investment.
The professionals who took part in this roundtable were Rubén Solís from B. Solís; Javier Curto from Concept Homes; Pablo Villarroel from Villarroel Torrico; Ignacio Peinado from ACP Málaga and José Félix Pérez-Peña from Savills.
The conference closed with the importance of brands in the real estate sector. Relying on a brand of recognised international prestige is a trend that has been going on for years in the United States and is now reaching Europe and especially the Costa del Sol. To address this issue, Massimiliano Ferrari from Corporate Brand was present; Juanjo Millán from Wyndham Residences (Idiliq Group); Ziad El Khoury of Four Seasons; Ignacio Alonso from Pacaso and Ignacio Pérez, from La Zagaleta.
Hosted with flair and brio by José Carlos León, the conference featured a modern format with engaging topics further enlivened by the African Ballet Sunugal and the evocative acrobatic dance act by Duonika from Ukraine.
The entire schedule of events was made possible by the kind participation of the Estepona Townhall, the Villa Padierna Group, sponsors and also the companies and individual professionals who participated both in the organisation and the enjoyment of a sports competition and professional conference whose aim is to bring together the real estate sector of the Costa del Sol while working jointly to raise funds for important causes both locally and abroad.
